Staying Out of the Way of History

​Right now, in America, we are seeing a lot of uncertainty and instability. We are seeing economic uncertainty, gender and identity confusion, uncertainty with the invasion of foreign nationals and the threat of war. We have seen political opposition imprisoned and silenced. There has even been talk of civil war. Typically, when we see this level of uncertainty and instability promoted it is because wicked men/women make opportunities to seize power and strip us of our rights – don’t be fooled their pathway to power is revolutionary socialism using the working class to achieve their own goals. Many of us may be tempted to “get in the fight” but should we or should we - stay out of the way of history!

​Order and Confusion
Nations create order by enacting laws that maintain order. In America, our system of order was founded on biblical principles of liberty and morality. America is a nation in covenant with God. If we break this covenant, we come under His judgments.
 

Isaiah and God’s Judgements on America
The prophet Isaiah prophesied of judgement coming to America in the 19th chapter of Isaiah. Egypt is a codename for America in the Endtimes and Isaiah foretells of economic trouble, civil conflict, and the arrival of a cruel dictator.
 
“Then will I deliver the Egyptians(Americans) into the hand of a cruel master; a harsh ruler will subject them, says the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts.”  – Isaiah 19:4
 

Responding to God’s Judgements
There are four things we can do to respond to God’s judgements on America.
 
Stay Out of God’s Way
The first thing we can do is to stay out of God’s way. These judgements are to bring us to repentance to turn to God and live His law – let God do His work!  Don’t become a political activist and stay out of the civil conflict.  We saw what happened on January 6th with the capitol protest and the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. We must not become an impediment to God’s plans.
 
“Jehovah will smite Egypt(America), and by smiting heal it: they will turn back to Jehovah, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.”  – Isaiah 19:22

Remember, it will be individuals/families and not groups that respond to God's call out.
 

Seek God’s Protection
Secondly, the only sure protection is to live His law. He promises us protection if we do. 
 
“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” – Deu 28:2
 

Watch for God’s Endtime Servant
Thirdly, watch for God’s Endtime Servant who will unite believers under one true Gospel and to prepare them for the return of humanities redeemer. Isaiah uses Moses as a type for the servant we should be looking for.
 
“…. when they cry out to Jehovah because of the oppressors, he will send them a savior, who will take up their cause and deliver them.” – Isaiah 19:20
 

Gather to Places of Safety
Lastly, at some point, we will have to gather to places of safety. Isaiah foretells of five covenant communities in America.  But this gathering won’t happen until the Servant’s three years of warning before the complete cleansing of the earth. After the three years of warning, then there will be three years of cleansing the earth from evil and unrighteousness.
 
“In that day five Hebrew-speaking cities (law-keepers) in the land of Egypt(America) will swear loyalty to Jehovah of Hosts. One shall be known as the City of Righteousness.” – Isaiah 19:18
