Endtime prophecy predicts the establishment of the Kingdom of God. We see the establishment of the Endtime Kingdom of God occur with three primary stages – a polarization of humanity, a return to the Law, and a restoration of Yeshua’s testimony. That being said, we’ll look at the covenants and God’s commands within this context of the establishment of the Endtime Kingdom of God for those who are Born of the Spirit/Born Again.
In previous chapters, we saw that five covenants can be associated with those who are Born Again - the Messianic Covenant, the Abrahamic Covenant, the Threshold Covenant, the Priesthood Covenant, and the Sinai Covenant. These five covenants form the complete set of covenants for God’s Covenant People within the New Covenant. In this chapter, we’ll look at these covenants in greater detail.
In this chapter, we'll look at the change in the priesthood that we saw in Paul’s Letters to the Hebrews and apply the priesthood to those who have been Born Again. This review will consider – along with the change in the priesthood – administration of the Kingdom of God, the order of authority, and priesthood in covenant theology.
In this chapter, we’ll consider aspects of the heart. Yehovah and the Old Testament prophets cite Israel’s stony and uncircumcised heart as the reason Israel was unable to keep the Law – the Law that would sanctify Israel. Yeshua makes the condition of the heart a primary theme in His Sermon on the Mount. So here we’ll see how thoughts become actions and Yeshua’s testimony about how we can change our hearts.
In the last chapter, we saw Yeshua establish a new covenant. He said that he was not abolishing the Law but declares he will make the Law full and complete – Matthew 5:17. So then the Law in the Old Testament – Tanach – is our starting point.
In the last chapter, we introduced being Born of the Spirit. This week we will look at the concept of the Covenant Relationship under our review of being Born of the Spirit/Living Divine Truth. When Yeshua said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15., He was expressing to His followers the basis of being in a relationship with Him - if we want to be in a relationship with Yeshua, He is telling us to live His Law - His Commandments, which is His Truth. Moreover, the Commandments – the specific rules - can be segregated and associated with various Covenants and types of Relationships we see in the scriptures.
In this chapter, we’ll begin our review of being Born of the Spirit. Once we have been Born of the Water, we begin living a life of divine truth. When Yeshua departed, He said the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of Truth would come to guide us into all truth – John 16:13.
In this chapter we’ll expand the concept of baptism. Baptism in Yeshua’s testimony is an initiatory ordinance that witnesses our entry into a new way or new reality. It symbolizes burying our old way and rising out of the water into Yeshua’s testimony into a new reality. That process takes us from an earthly and worldly state to heaven and eternity.
In the last chapter, we separated faith into two types – hope and belief. We also introduced that belief led a believer to action. Moreover, we see that same concept for those who have clean hands and pure hearts. In this chapter, we will expand on the faith that leads to action.
