In this chapter, we begin a new section - Reaching the Stature of the Messiah as Proxy Saviors. In our previous section we considered the process of Becoming Perfected. In this section, we’ll see the connection the scriptures make between Perfection and Proxy Salvation and then will expand our discussion with the Law of the Father and how His laws relate to both physical and spiritual salvation. The Process of Perfection Our Process of Perfection looks like this: Individual Salvation Born of the Blood Redemption Born Again Sanctified Born of the Water > Born of the Spirit > Born of God > Married Exaltation Going Onto Perfection Exaltation Becomes Perfected > Reaches the Stature of Messiah > Sees God the Son Perfection and Proxy Salvation Closely allied with Perfection is Proxy Salvation. We see this illustrated at Passover when Israel sacrifices an unblemished male lamb representing Israel’s Savior-God and then Israel’s firstborn are saved from death. We also see the Messiah/Christ portrayed similarly. Then we have this statement from the Apostle Paul about Yeshua from the fifth chapter of the Book of Hebrews. “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” – Hebrews 5:8,9 So, this declaration from Paul clearly connects Perfection with Proxy Salvation that we also see in God’s Sons/Servants. Proxy Salvation Defined Proxy Salvation occurs when a highly righteous man – perfect – bears the disloyalties of others so they can receive blessings or protection. Dr. Gileadi, “A proxy’s function is to stand in for someone else, as in a legal proceeding, or in a contract between two parties. Following the model of King David (who, in turn, follows the pattern of ancient Near Eastern vassal kings), God’s servant stands in for God’s people, contracting with Jehovah in a legal agreement, to purchase their protection against the threat to their lives …. In effect, through his individual covenant with [God], [God’s Sons/]servant ransoms God’s people from the mortal danger threatening them.” Referring to King Hezekiah. “Lending substance to his intercession with Jehovah, the king’s suffering satisfies the requirements of justice for his people’s disloyalties to their God and Jehovah accepts the king’s petition: “Thus says Jehovah, the God of your father David: ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city…” – Isaiah 38:5,6 Physical and Spiritual Salvation in Mortality In mortality, God works through mortal men to realize physical and spiritual salvation. Isaiah indicates that these men are God Servants – His Sons and Angels. Dr. Gileadi, “As all salvation, temporal[physical] and spiritual, comes from God, ……proxy saviors under the terms of the Davidic Covenant on the seraph and son/servant levels create the conditions for salvation to occur.” The righteousness of God’s servants leads to Yehovah-Yeshua’s salvation. “Those who are called “oaks of righteousness,” Righteousness empowers and Salvation saves (Isaiah 61:1–10).”
The Law of God the Father Yeshua becoming perfect connects us with His declaration to be perfect as the Father is perfect – Matthew 5:48. Moreover, the Father’s perfection qualifies Him as a savior also. These concepts of perfection and proxy salvation are connected to the commands or Law of the Father. We see this concept of the Father’s Law expressed at John 15:10. "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love." From this scripture, we can see that to have a relationship with the Son, Yeshua, he asks us to live His law. Moreover, we can also see in this scripture that Yeshua has a relationship with the Father because Yeshua keeps the Father’s law. The Father’s laws of perfection and proxy salvation introduces us to additional laws that are included in the Davidic, Enochic and Messianic (as the Redeemer-Yeshua and not the redeemed) Covenants. Our summary looks like this,
As God’s Sons/Daughters/Elect and being under the Law of the Father, we see that according to Isaiah they enter into individual covenants under the Davidic Covenant as Kings/High Priests and Queens who obtain collective salvation for communities. Physical Salvation Physical salvation refers to being saved from physical death - the deaths of our material bodies. This includes being killed by enemies, starvation from the lack of food and death by disease. The role of a king is to be a provider and a protector. Under the Law of the Father, Davidic Kings accept this role for communities.
Spiritual Salvation Spiritual salvation refers to living in the presence of God. Those who perfect their lives who are High Priests who are the head of groups bring communities into the influence of the Holy Spirit and the presence of the Son-Yeshua in the Millennium and Eternity. Moreover, Sons/Servants see the Son-Yeshua in this life and both Sons and Daughters are received into the presence of the Father in eternity.
Physical and Spiritual Salvation in Eternity In contrast, physical and spiritual salvation in eternity is realized for Humanity through Yeshua and in the Messianic Covenant
Savior Roles of God's Sons/Servants When we consider the roles and responsibilities of Sons/Daughters/Elect, three primary aspects emerge, which we will review in the next few chapters. Moreover, these savior-servants will be operative during the Endtimes. Davidic Kingship
