In this subchapter, we’ll continue with our review of Adam and Eve because their experience is our experience as their posterity. Moreover, we’ll look at a series of ascensions that the Bible presents that will leads us back into God’s presence as we become like Him. Adam and Eve’s Offspring We saw in the last subchapter that for Adam and Eve to receive a knowledge of good and evil God gave Adam and Eve the Law and banished them from Paradise to a fallen world to experience good and evil. The Law that God gave to Adam and Eve not only defines good and evil, but it creates order, which included a system of justice. We also see that God promised Adam and Eve a redeemer so that they would not suffer everlasting physical and spiritual death – Genesis 3:15. Adam would have also received the priesthood to commemorate the redemption of this promised redeemer by offering a burnt sacrifice. We see this offering of a burnt sacrifice with Noah and with the other Genesis fathers. (Today, we can memorialize Yeshua’s sacrifice with bread and wine until the Endtime restoration of all things.) Consider David Schrock, PhD - “In Genesis 1 and 2, Adam and his helpmate are commissioned to have dominion over the earth. They are to subdue and rule all that God has made (1:26–28) and cultivate and keep the garden (2:15–17). As Psalm 8:5–6 later confirms, God “crowned man with glory and honor, . . . put[ting] all things under his feet.” This is a reflection on Adam and his role of ruling over creation. Likewise, Ezekiel 28 portrays the king of Tyre in priestly garb and situates him in Eden, which leads us to observe, “Ezekiel 28:13 pictures Adam dressed in bejeweled clothing like a priest.” Thus, in looking at the creation of Adam, we find the beginnings of priest-king in Scripture.” As Adam and Eve’s offspring, this is where God intended for us to be. God Starts Over Because of man’s unwillingness to subdue their carnal nature, God destroys the world and starts over with Noah. What we see in the rest of the Bible is God portraying how various types of people relate to God. These people types help us to see who we are now and how we can get back to God. Believers in God who are Honest Most of us begin life believing that there is an all-powerful supreme being that created the world and is the final arbiter of justice. We try to be honest and decent people. Some believers have embraced Yeshua/Jesus as the redeemer of humanity. Pure Hearts and Clean Hands who receive the Holy Spirit God restores the knowledge of good and evil with the Law through Abraham’s posterity. Believers who embrace and strive to live the Law are adopted/restored into Abraham’s righteous posterity because of the covenants God made with Abraham and his posterity. Yeshua extends these covenants into the forever through His redemption and command to be Born Again. These are received into the House of the Son. The Old Testament refers to these as Zion, God’s Covenant People and the Woman in the Book of Revelations. Perfection and Proxy Salvation who are Holy and reach the Stature of the Son Above those who are Pure, are those who become Holy. They perfect their lives and enter into individual covenants. They function as proxy saviors (Noah,Abraham,Hezekiah) and are received into the House of the Father. The Old Testament refers to these as His Sons and Daughters. These are the Elect in the New Testament. Obtaining God’s Power who are Holy and do the Work and Will of the Father Those who are tried in all things, God gives his power to do the Father’s Work and Will. These function to perpetuate God’s creations into eternity. They are highly righteous men that the Bible calls Angels and Seraphim. The New Testament refers to these as Joint Heirs With Messiah. This is the highest level of righteousness/blessedness man can achieve in Mortality. Those who are God’s Endtime saviors – the 144,000 – ascend to this level.
Progressing Through Time and Eternity Another concept that we see in the Bible is how these people types progress through time and eternity. We can summarize what this looks like.
