This week in our review of Isaiah Decoded we’ll continue with the topic of religious truth that we see in the Introduction. Dr. Gileadi really spends the rest of the Introduction on the topic of expanding our knowledge of God by looking “outside of centuries-old traditions” and “obtaining new insights about God”. When we step back from what we have traditionally accepted as true and survey the whole of God’s Word, what we see is a huge doctrinal puzzle. As believers it’s not our job to make up new doctrines, our job is to assemble what we already have, which is a sizeable task.

Responding to Religious Truth and the Quest for Spiritual Self-Awareness: An Introduction – Part 22/16/2023 This week in our review of Isaiah Decoded we’ll continue with our topic of religious truth that we see in the Introduction. The next points that Dr. Gileadi presents in the Introduction are persecution and responding to truth. Both of these points can be evaluated under the broader context of man’s natures. Though as human beings we all have great similarities, but what defines each person is our own motives, desires and attitudes that is based on how and what we think and feel, and then act. The Gospel as a Dynamic Order and the Process of Receiving Religious Truth: An Introduction – Part 12/9/2023 This week in our review of Isaiah Decoded we’ll look at the Introduction, which focuses on religious truth. Religious truth is at the heart of having a relationship with God, because if we don’t understand the truth of having a relationship with God, Yeshua has declared, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,” - Matt 7:22,23. So let’s unpack the topic of religious truth. This week in our review of Isaiah Decoded we’ll set out a study sequence, which we plan to accomplish in a year. So this will give us plenty of time to add depth and breadth to Dr. Gileadi's analysis of Isaiah’s Gospel. Central to our study of Isaiah is to include a system of law. Though Dr. Gileadi has set out a lot of marvelous philosophy about the types of relationships one can have with God, there is a dearth of law that makes achieving these relationships a reality. |
