Thoughts on Torah for Last Week: Genesis 6-11 Some Christians have accepted the idea that there is one law for Jews and another law for Gentiles, and they cite Acts 15:20 to support their position. Further, Acts 15 can be directly linked to Genesis 9 where God gives to Noah a set of basic laws for all humanity. Jewish sages and rabbinics have synthesized this basic law into seven commands, which has been referred to as the Noahide Laws. A full review of the scriptures will conclude that the Gospel is really about establishing a relationship with God. These relationships vary by how intimate a certain relationship is with God. The Apostles shared an intimacy with the Messiah that was not accessible to the rank and file Believers. These different relationships are connected to a set of conditions, and these conditions are expressed in the scriptures as laws or commandments. The Noahide Laws established the lowest degree of intimacy with God. Though the vast majority of Humanity will enter Heaven, each of us will have to decide the degree of intimacy we want with God and then strive to fulfill those conditions. In general, there are three types of intimate relationships that God has set out in the scriptures. The table below summarizes these relationships and the corresponding law.
Isaiah Chapter 2 Endtime people don’t want to apply the writings of Isaiah to themselves. America is the Endtime head of the nations. All nations will flow to Endtime Zion, which has not yet occurred. When people live God’s law and obey His word will the Millennium come. The mingle lineages/Gentiles apostatize and the wicked will suffer judgement. Believers who endure Endtime trials are raised to an Elect status. Resource Links for this Week's Portion
