Messianic Israel and Nurturing Judah
In the previous post on priesthood authority, we saw that Messianic Israel during the Endtimes will nurture Judah and later all Israel including covenanting Gentiles. Messianic Israel is not prepared to nurture Judah until Messianic Israel can connect Judah with Heaven, Eternity, and God’s presence through the Melchizedek Priesthood. What does that really mean in the context of the Melchizedek Priesthood?
Yeshua and the Tabernacle
We saw in chapter 9 that Yeshua perfected the Tabernacle by connecting the Tabernacle with Heaven.

As we can see by the above table, that without the Melchizedek Priesthood all that Messianic Israel is offering Judah currently is immortality/resurrection without everlasting life with the Son.

Obtaining the Melchizedek Priesthood
As we saw in Yehovah’s restoration of His relationship with ancient Israel, He started with the fathers of families. A careful study of Torah and the New Covenant reveals the following sequence for fathers to obtain the Melchizedek Priesthood. This can be done and should be done as individuals since each of us is responsible for our own relationship with God.
1. The Abrahamic Covenant – all males had to be circumcised before they could participate in the Passover – Exodus 12. Also, selecting a Hebrew name represents a change in status before God. You can use an ancestor's name or Avraham that mainstream Judaism uses.
2. The Threshold Covenant (Passover) – today we can post Yehovah’s name above our doors instead of sacrificing a lamb which indicates the deity we recognized as our god. Yehovah-Yeshua as Israel's Savior-God. When we take Yehovah as our god, we are a king and a priest in Him. Exodus 12
יהוה
3. Baptism into Yeshua HaMashiach as Israel’s Messiah and not the Christian Jesus. If you previously were a Christian, you need to be baptized into Yeshua. Israel passing through the Red Sea was symbolic of baptism. Exodus 14
4. The Sinai Covenant – the seventh-day Sabbath is the sign of the Sinai Covenant and Israel’s Law Code - Exodus 20. Integral with the Sinai Covenant is that all males are commanded to wear tzitziot. Not only does this remind us of obedience but also indicates our set apart status. Tzitiot should be worn all day including to your employment. Numbers 15, Deu 22.
5. Oath of the Priesthood in the New Covenant – the final step in obtaining the Melchizedek Priesthood for fathers is to swear an oath - Hebrews 7. You can use the document below as a guide and to witness the oath.

6. Fathers who have sworn the priesthood oath can wear a white kippah with a symbol that represents the Melchizedek Priesthood. I use the shapes from this page out the AD 1008 Leningrad Codex of the Hebrew Bible as that symbol – the Star of David representing the Law in the center, the Seal of the Eternal Priesthood (Melchizedek) - two offset squares with eight points where the number eight in the Bible signifies eternity and a circle for pure knowledge and all truth on the outside that is encompassed in the fullness of the testimony of Yeshua HaMashiach.
7. Fathers should know the Law setout in the Torah and this commentary on the Letters to the Hebrews as the message to bring Judah to a knowledge of Yeshua their Messiah. This commentary will be available for download once the review is complete.
