Side Bar: How should Messianic Israel bring Judah to Yeshua their Messiah!
Part 1
Introduction
In 2014, I left Mormon Christianity and embraced a messianic paradigm to biblical theology because I felt stalled and unfulfilled in Mormonism with my relationship with God.
Now, eleven years later, the Messianic Movement has yet to fully find itself.
Messianic Rabbi Steven Berkson has referred to various messianic groups essentially as “Messy Christianity”. I think that you can say this also about Messianic Judaism. I have seen messianic groups gravitate to Rabbinic Judaism and Evangelical Christianity. One group I know of in Arizona has even rejected Yeshua as the Jewish Messiah having once accepted Yeshua as humanity’s redeemer. Mostly, what you see in messianic groups are gentiles wanting to find a deeper connection with God. We’re stuck in this stalemate.
Prophecies in the scriptures predict that God during the Endtimes will restore the House of Israel when the times of the Gentiles has come to an end. But this Endtime restoration of Israel will not happen without their Messiah! So Messianic Israel is a key aspect of this restoration.
That being said, we’re going to review the Book of Hebrews in the New Testament as a pattern for bringing Judah to Yeshua and in some respects Messianic Israel to an even deeper understanding of their Endtime role. The Book of Hebrews was a reminder to Jewish believers of the reasons why they accepted Yeshua as their Messiah.
