The Rising Messianic Remnant

In this week's post, we’ll look at a fairly recent phenomenon in America - the Messianic Movement.  This Messianic Movement is essentially a “blow-back” from the elements of apostasy that are growing in America  that was the topic of last week's post on the Latter-Day Gentile Apostasy. The self-destructive elements discussed last week leads to an abandonment of divine law - the law that sustains life - the Torah. In addition to the cycle of apostasy that recurs in the Bible and  throughout history, there is also a linear aspect to our earth history and future that is indicated in the Bible. We’ll look at how this Messianic Movement plays into this linear aspect of our world's future.​

The Bible's Linear Sequence
There is not only a recurring cycle of apostasy and restoration that we see in the Bible and in history, but there is a linear sequence as well.  Without God having a plan to intervene in the affairs of men, our world is destined to cycle through apostasy and restoration forever.  But God does have a plan and it is set out in a linear sequence in the Bible, which looks like this:​

Moreover, there is a segment of the world's population that is perpetuating this cycle of apostasy and preventing the realization of perpetual world peace and prosperity.  At some point, God will have to eliminate this segment. God’s law in the Bible promises life, liberty, peace and prosperity. So it stands to reason that those who reject biblical law are the ones who will need to go.


The Messianic Movement
In recent years, we have seen the rise of a Messianic Movement in America.  This Movement is not only a return to the biblical principles of freedom for which American's greatness is founded, but there will be a revival of a biblical theocracy which is a precursor for the coming forth of the Earth’s Millennial time of peace and prosperity - Paradise.


Separation of the Righteous and the Wicked
At some point, God will orchestrate an Endtime separation of the righteous who keeps God’s Law and the wicked who don’t, and eliminate the wicked. In scripture, this separation will involve the righteous fleeing out of the wickedness of the world and God executing a destruction of the wicked.  This same situation occurs in the Bible with Lot fleeing Sodom and God destroying Sodom.


Our Three Prophecies

The Fourth Turning
The events being described above - the Messianic Movement, Separation and Destruction - all occur during a fourth turning or a period of crisis. Not only will there be a return to biblical liberty, but there will be a greater application of divine law which will elevate humanity - a biblical theocracy.  Consider these statements in The Fourth Turning.

“The Spirit of America [America uniting under the Biblical Principles of Liberty] comes once a saeculum, only through what the ancients called ekpyrosis, nature’s fiery moment of death and discontinuity. History’s periodic eras of Crisis combust the old social order and gives birth to a new.” p.225

And who will execute this new social order,

“In a Crisis, older people give orders while the younger do great deeds,” p.46


The Book of Isaiah
Tradition has it that only 20% of those loyal to Israel followed Moses into the wilderness - a remnant.  In the prophecy of Isaiah, only a tithe of humanity will pass into the Millennial era of peace - another remnant.  Isaiah also predicts that a remnant will come out of America (Egypt).

“In that day my Lord will again raised his hand to reclaim the remnant of his people — those who shall be left out of Assyria, Egypt [America], Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath,and the islands of the sea.” Isaiah 11:11

And what qualifies this remnant as God’s people - His Torah covenanters.

“For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and from Jerusalem the word of Jehovah.” Isaiah 2:3

The word Zion in the prophecy of Isaiah can be either a place or a people.  Moreover, in the Hebrew text the word law here is Torah.

                           :כִּ֤י מִצִּיּוֹן֙ תֵּצֵ֣א תוֹרָ֔ה וּדְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה מִירוּשָׁלִָֽם                      

And finally, the prophecy of America indicates that these covenanters will be Hebrew-speaking.  And that we can impute as Hebrew-speakers that they are Torah covenanters.

“In that day five Hebrew-speaking cities in the land of Egypt will swear loyalty to Jehovah of Hosts.” Isaiah 19:18

The Book of Mormon
Here is a key scripture about the Gentiles in America needing to repent. Furthermore, this scripture gives us a clue about what they need to repent of.  We can see by this scripture it is the Gentiles needing to come to the House of Israel and not the House of Israel coming to the Gentiles. And what does the House of Israel have - the Torah!

“..for this cause that the Gentiles, if they will not harden their hearts, that they may repent and come unto me and be baptized in my name and know of the true points of my doctrine, that they may be numbered among my people, O house of Israel;  3 Nephi 21:6
