This week in the Book of Mormon we’ll examine another aspect of Organized Evil. The Nephite government was established on the commandments, statutes, and judgments of God - Torah, which was the source of Nephite liberty. When the secret combinations took over, the Nephite’s were put under dictatorial powers and the laws of God were discarded. This new government under this secret combination was Anti-God, Anti-Torah. We see this happening as well today in America. The political left in America is bent on undermining and destroying the culture of America, which has been historically built on a foundation of biblical morality and liberty. Indeed, American cultural must be removed from the world scene so that evil may reign. This week we’ll see what the source is of this Anti-God philosophy that is coming to America, then we’ll look at Organized Evil in Isaiah's prophecy of America.

This week in the Book of Mormon we’ll continue with our Endtime theme and examine the role of organized evil that seeks to obtain wealth and power through murder and control of the government. The Book of Mormon calls this organized evil “secret combinations” and is the reason we see a loss of liberty in the Book of Helaman and here in 3 Nephi before the coming of the Messiah. At the end of the world there is a showdown between the forces of good and the forces of evil. This showdown of the forces of good and evil at the end of the world is necessary to transition the world into a millennial era of peace and prosperity polarizing people between those who won’t embrace good and life through God and those who will. We are going to cover this topic in multiple parts because current events are directly related to this topic. This week in our review of the Book of Mormon, we’ll close out our look at the Book of Helaman. When we look at the entire Book of Helaman what you should see is an Endtime theme. The Book of Mormon writers know that the restoration of Israel and the salvation of Humanity rest on the realization of the covenant that God made with Abraham. Here in Helaman, God is providing a road map to accomplish just that as the Messiah’s first coming is a type for His second coming. Helaman provides us with key guides to prepare those who are called AND chosen to be His Endtime leaders who will execute this great gathering of the righteous at the end of the world. So this week, we’ll review our past posts on Helaman and consider key take-aways within the context of an Endtime setting and how Samuel, a Lamanite prophet, that we see in chapters 13 to 16 fits into this Endtime theme as a type of God’s Servant. In this week ‘s review of the Book of Mormon we’ll wrap up our analysis of Nephi’s ascension set out in chapters 5 to 12 of Helaman. Previously, we saw Nephi ascend to the Zion/Jerusalem and God’s Sons/Daughters/Elect of Isaiah’s Ladder to Heaven. This week we’ll look at Nephi becoming God’s Seraphims or His Angelic Messengers. The group of scriptures that comprise of this ascension of Nephi includes Helaman 5:36 when he sees God to when Nephi receives the sealing power in chapter 10. |
