In this review, we are going to shift gears and look at Davidic Kingship in the New Testament. Some have interpreted Yeshua’s and Paul's teaching on Davidic Kingship as a replacement of the Gospel set out in the Old Testament. But this is not so.  Davidic Kingship is a progressional step of ascension of blessedness. Individuals who overcome individual sin are called Zion/Jerusalem in the Book of Isaiah.  By and large sin is defined in the Torah.  But those who go onto perfection are God’s Elect as called in the New Testament whom Isaiah refers to His Son/Servants-Daughters/Handmaidens. Son/Servants are proxy deliverers – God’s leadership. Examples of proxy deliverers in the Bible include Abraham's deliverance of Lot from Sodom. Moses offering his life to save the children of Israel. And King Hezekiah suffering to deliver of his people.  In this review, we look at Isaiah's, Yeshua’s and Paul's teaching on Davidic Kingship. ​

John 4:3-14
In last weeks portion, we saw the Messiah using the metaphor of Living Water to describe His truths that will bring man life in the world and eternal life in the world to come.  This is not the only metaphor Yeshua uses to convey the concept of Him bringing life to man.  Previously, we saw Him refer to Himself as the Light of Life.  He also refers to Himself as the Bread of Life and finally, we see in the scriptures that life is in the blood.  This week we will explore these metaphors used to describe the life received through the Messiah Yeshua.

Luke 17:28-37
The central theme of the portion for last week is the Second Coming.  Here in Luke it is recorded as "the Day of the Son of Man".   But in Isaiah it is referred to as "the Day of Jehovah". John calls it "the Day of the Lord".  All of these terms refer to the same event or series of events when God's judgments are poured out on the wicked and the righteous are saved.  We'll consider some of the specific details that accompany the great Endtime Day of Jehovah in this review.

John 8:51-58
In this review, we will expand our reading of this weeks portion to include most of Chapter 8 of John.  And our focus will be the use of the word Light as it relates to Messiah Yeshua.  We'll look at some of the concepts in the Torah to build a foundation and extend our view with the New Testament.

Luke 17:20-27
The central theme of this portion is the Kingdom of God. Throughout history the Kingdom of God has been manifested in different forms. Those forms have included a political-ecclesiastical form, an ecclesiastical form and a political form. We'll review these forms and consider what the Kingdom of God will look like at the Endtime with Israel's restoration.

John 1;1-17
This portion begins like Genesis, In the Beginning, but in Genesis we only see the word Elohim used to identity who created the heavens and the earth.  John expands this view into two identities - the Word and God.  We also see in the last verse of this portion the terms Law, Grace and Truth introduced.  We'll look at these two topics in this weeks review.
