Thoughts on Torah for Last Week:
See our page on Spiritual Coaching: Exodus 6-9 This portion opens in the sixth chapter of Exodus setting out Moses as Israel’s deliverer and then recounts in subsequent portion chapters the plagues that God pours out on the Egyptians as an impetus to free the Israelites. This demonstration of divine power which was prevalent in the Old Testament/Tanakh and New Testament will again return during the Endtime winding-up scene. The following video is a powerful summary of these plagues as a demonstration of God's power: In this review of the Torah portion, we will consider four manifestations of God’s power that has not really been manifested since Biblical times. Ever since the Gospel was sent to the Gentiles beginning with Paul, who knowingly reduced the Gospel to persuade the Gentiles to convert, there has been a dearth of divine power. We will see a resurgence of divine power at the End of Time as God’s Law is revived. The four primary manifestations of God’s power included here are: Godly Knowledge, the Power of Transformation, Signs and Wonders and Super Signs and Wonders. Moreover, there is a direct relationship between increasing righteousness and greater manifestations of God's power. Godly Knowledge Jesus declared that if you would follow Him you would know the truth and the truth would set you free – John 8:31-32. Essentially what Yeshua was saying is that if you would live the Law/Torah by His example, you would receive the Spirit of Truth, who can reveal all things - John 16:13. So, the key to receiving knowledge is obedience to the Law . This process is illustrated below: Transformations and Recreations In our previous post, we set out the concept that those who were Born of God or who were purged of their sin nature would pass into the Millennium. This process of being purged of one’s sin nature is part of the process of transformation and recreation as we are perfected through God’s power. Being purged of our sin nature, requires that we prove our loyalty to God through a trial of faith. Moreover, churches should realized that leaders who abuse women and children are not qualified to be in positions of trust when they have not been Born of God - who have been purged of their sin nature. Signs and Wonders A careful review of New Testament scriptures indicate that it was leaders – Yeshua, Apostles and Elders - who were performing healings, casting out demons, raising the dead and other wonders. And it was Believers who were being healed. Remember the Hebraic concept of faith is to believe that God will keep His promises to bless us when we live His law. Leaders function on a higher spiritual level then the rank and file Believer. These have reached the full stature and image of Messiah whom God grants power to perform signs and wonders to heal, cast out devils and raise the dead. Endtime Son/Servants also suffer for their peoples disloyalties and win divine protection for their people like King Hezekiah – Isaiah 38:5-6 Super Signs and Wonders During the Endtime Winding-Up scene, we will again see a return to Biblical super signs and wonders. God's Endtime Servant and Witnesses are endowed with Godly power after they suffer death or nigh unto death for the sake of the Gospel. The Endtime Servant will “smite the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips slay the wicked”. Isaiah 11:2; 49:2 The Two Witnesses in Jerusalem will send fire out of their mouths and devour their enemies, they have power to shut the heaven so that it does not rain, and to smite the earth with plagues – Rev. 11:3-6. Isaiah Chapter 13 Babylon suffers a Sodom/Gomorrah destruction during “Jehovah’s Day of Judgement”.
