Thoughts on Torah for Last Week: See our page on Spiritual Coaching. Genesis 41-44 In the previous post we considered the pattern of descent, which the prophet Isaiah sets out in his teachings of the Gospel. In this portion, we’ll see how Isaiah considers ascending to higher spiritual levels. Here, Joseph became a great ruler in Egypt only second in Egypt with Pharaoh; and, we saw God orchestrate the ascension of Joseph, but Joseph had to endure a trial to get there. When God raises a Believer to a higher spiritual level after they have endured a trial of faith, God transforms them and recreates them in real and tangible ways into something greater through His power. The purposes of these transformations is to be recreated into the Stature and Image of the Messiah and become perfected – Ephesians 4:11-13, 2 Cor. 3:18. Through God’s power to transform and recreate us, we become like Him. Consider: When a new Believer endures a trial of faith/baptism of fire - after they received the baptism of water and God’s instructions/Torah through the Spirit so they know how to live - the power of God comes into them, and purges the carnal/fallen man so that they no longer are tempted by the passions of the flesh, pride and lust for power, which is related to the same three tests Yeshua received - Matt 4. This process raises them to the first level of blessedness – Zion/Jerusalem.
Having reached the first level blessedness, married couples are prepared to ascend higher to the Son(Daughter)/Servant level – the second level of blessedness - where God’s power heals them of emotional wounds and test them with a trial of faith. Healed of such wounds, they are cleared of generational curses and have purified their lineage for their offspring and future generations. Coupled with a deep understanding of the Gospel so they are not “tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine”, they develop divine attributes, reached the Full Stature of Messiah/Christ and exemplify the ideal man and woman of God. To these, the Messiah personally ministers. Isaiah Chapter 10 The wicked corrupt their laws, promote injustice and exploit the poor. King of Assyria (anti-Christ) creates a one world government and execute judgement against the wicked of God’s people. God’s “work” is the destruction of the wicked and the deliverance of the righteous. God’s Endtime servant destroys King of Assyria (anti-Christ). A righteousness remnant survives in Zion who include the ten tribes of Endtime “Assyria”. Resource Links for this Week's Portion
