Thoughts on Torah for Last Week: Before I get into the Torah portion, I am adding a Spiritual Coaching page for those who desire to become a Holy or Set Apart Believer. This page includes specific instructions to do just that. GO HERE Genesis 28-32 This portion includes Jacob’s dream of a ladder to heaven. Jacob dreamed of a ladder to heaven where angels were ascending and descending along the ladder. One interpretation of Jacob’s dream is that each rung on the ladder represents a spiritual category of humanity to or away from God. Moreover the angels that are ascending and descending this ladder are ministering to the righteous or calling the wicked to repentance to the various persons on the ladder If we were to use the categories set out in the Book of Isaiah, this is how the ladder could be presented graphically. The Ladder to Heaven "Ascending a ladder to heaven may seem like a fantasy, but it represents life's highest reality. It constitutes the reason why we were born on this earth - a divine design of such sweeping scope it lifts our spirits to the loftiest realms of possibility, yet answers the lowest aspirations of even the least creature. The prophet Isaiah, who sets forth this otherworldly system of ministering and being ministered to, surpasses all other prophetic writers in presenting a theology whose ultimate goal is to ascend to God and be like Him." As there was a righteous remnant anciently so their will be a righteous remnant in the Endtimes. Davidic dynasty is perpetual. So this implies a Messianic posterity. King of Assyria conquers nations by exiling her leaders, which is what will happen at the Endtimes with the anti-Christ. Corrupt uncovenanted leader of the mingle lineages of Israel will be replaced by righteous covenanted descendant of King David. Resource Links for this Week's Portion
