This week we’ll wrap-up our review of chapter 7 in Isaiah Decoded – Seraphim, God’s Angelic Messengers. Dr. Gileadi spends the remainder of chapter 7 discussing God’s Endtime Servant and the gathering of God’s people that leads us to Yehovah-Yeshua’s millennial return. So this week, we’ll look at the statements that Dr. Gileadi makes regarding the Servant and these Endtime events. Preparing for God’s Endtime Servant Those who have been able to discard the traditions of men and taken the Spirit as their guide will be ahead of the Endtime game when God’s Servant appears. We can see in the scriptures that includes turning back to the Law – Deu. 30:2, Mal. 4:4 – and qualify for its blessings and protections – Deu. 28. Moreover, those who return to the Law will be able to more easily identify God’s Endtime “Elijah” who will restore all things – Mal. 4:4,5. God’s Endtime “Elijah” We have already introduced the concept of a forerunner that comes before God to prepare the people to receive Him. The scriptures refer to that as the power and spirit of Elijah, which we see with John the Baptist – Luke 1. Moses can also be considered an Elijah and in the Endtimes God’s Servant is an Elijah. We see this Endtime return of "Elijah" in the Jewish tradition of receiving him at Passover observance.
Here are the statements that Dr. Gileadi makes in chapter 7 about this Endtime Elijah. “John’s “angel from the east” corresponds with Isaiah’s endtime servant, who also hails from the east. (Rev. 7:1)” – P. 232 “Word links in the Book of Isaiah identify the servant as the “angel” of God’s “presence.” (Isaiah 61:1–3, 6; 63:9; 66:21.)” – P. 232 “Hosea, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, for example, all predict an endtime “David.” While many people apply such prophecies to Jesus Christ, there is, in fact, little evidence for doing so.” – P. 232 “In Isaiah’s scenario, God’s “servant” is a descendant of David, the son of Jesse.” – P. 233 “Finally, they will “return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king, and they will fear Jehovah and his goodness in the last days.” – P. 233 “We can thus see that prophecies of the servant do not refer to Jesus Christ, though their roles resemble each other on adjacent levels of the ladder. They refer to one who heralds Jesus’ second coming, who prepares the way before him, as John the Baptist did at his first coming.” – P. 235 “Zechariah describes “a man whose name is the branch. . . He will build the temple of Jehovah, and he will be glorious and sit and rule on His throne. He will be a priest on His throne, and there will be a covenant of peace between them both.” (Zechariah 6:12–13; emphasis added.) Malachi adds, “I will send my messenger [Hebrew mal’akî, also ‘my angel’], who will prepare the way before me.” – P. 235 “Certain metaphors throw light on the servant’s mission of gathering God’s people. Isaiah describes the servant by using words like “ensign” and “hand,” which define his ministry (see Figure 99): “In that day the sprig of Jesse, who stands for an ensign to the peoples, will be sought by the nations, and his rest will be glorious. In that day Jehovah will again raise his hand to reclaim the remnant of his people—those who will be left out of Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the islands of the sea. He will raise the ensign to the nations and assemble the exiled of Israel; he will gather the scattered of Judah from the four directions of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:10–12; emphasis added.)” – P. 236 237 “By paralleling the raising of God’s “hand” with the raising of the “ensign,” Isaiah establishes the idea that this individual is both God’s “ensign” to the nations and his “hand” of deliverance. Thus, when God “raises” his servant—when he exalts and empowers him—descendants of the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah gather out of all countries to Zion or Jerusalem.” – P. 237 “God’s “raising” his servant, “creating” him, “gloriously endowing” him, and so forth, all express the servant’s ascent to the seraph level. But as with all ascent, he achieves it after experiencing a painful descent. The servant’s “suffering” and “humiliation” are redemptive because they pay the price of justice on behalf of God’s people so that they might obtain mercy, as mentioned.” – P. 243 “But before God responds and delivers his people, his servant is “despised as a person” and “abhorred by his people”—they reject him as the Jews rejected Jesus.” – P. 243 First Gathering: Initial Gathering of God's People and Leadership This gathering is initiated by God's Servant is spiritual and physical, which will occur during the his three years of warning. Spiritual/Physical Gathering During this three years of warning, we see a spiritual gathering as believers accept the Servant's full gospel message. These believers may also physically gather. We see that happen in America in Isaiah 19 with the five covenant cities. We can expect that these local physical gatherings can also occur worldwide. Physical Gathering of Leadership One pattern that we should see in the scriptures is that when God establishes a people, he initiates this effort by first selecting His leaders. We see that with Yeshua when he chose His twelve disciples/apostles. Also during these three years of warning, we see the Servant select leadership - those who are the Seed of Messiah. “In a restatement of these events, Isaiah again depicts God’s raising his “hand” and “ensign” to bring about his people’s return from dispersion: “I will lift my hand to the nations, raise my ensign to the peoples, and they will bring your sons in their bosoms and carry your daughters on their shoulders. Kings will be your foster fathers and queens your nursing mothers.” (Isaiah 49:22–23; emphasis added.) In effect, when God raises his “hand” and “ensign” (when he empowers his servant), certain “kings” and “queens” among the nations (proxy saviors on the seraph level) assist the servant to gather the “sons” and “daughters” among God’s people (God’s sons/servants and their dependents) from exile.” – P. 238 Sealing of 144,000 Seraphim/Angels “This “angel” oversees the sealing of the 144,000 servants of God with the name of God on their foreheads. In Isaiah’s version of that event, the servant anoints and empowers persons who “mourn in Zion” on account of the wickedness of God’s people.” – P. 232 “Speaking of seraphs/saviors, God says, “I have appointed watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, who will not be silent day or night.” – P. 243 “When God’s “watchmen” do as God’s “messenger” does, God blesses them (the seraphs) as he blesses him (the servant): “How comely upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger announcing peace, who brings tidings of good, who heralds salvation, saying to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’ Hark! Your watchmen lift up their voice; as one they cry out for joy, for they will see eye to eye when Jehovah returns [to] Zion.” In that day, God will reveal himself to his “elders” (see Figure 102): “The moon will blush and the sun be put to shame, when Jehovah of Hosts manifests his reign in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and [his] glory in the presence of his elders.” (Isaiah 24:23; 52:7–8; emphasis added.) – P. 245 Second Gathering: Worldwide Exodus of God's People (Physical) Immediately before Yehovah’s Day of Judgment, God gathers His people in a worldwide exodus who respond to the Servant and 144,000 Seraphim/Angels worldwide missions. “As observed, he gathers God’s people from exile and prepares them to meet God.” – P. 233 “In a time of trouble like no other, God will deliver his people from bondage to enemies. In that day, they will “serve Jehovah their God and David their king whom I will raise up unto them.” - P. 233 “He adds, “The people of Judah and the people of Israel will be gathered together and appoint themselves one leader.” They will “ascend out of the earth” in a new wandering in the wilderness to the Promised Land, as at the exodus from Egypt. (Hosea 1:11; 2:14–15; 3:4–5; emphasis added.)” – P. 233 “In response to shepherds smiting and scattering the flock, Ezekiel says, God will “look for those who are lost and bring back those driven away. I will bind up those who were injured and strengthen those who are weak.” God will “place one shepherd over them—my servant David—and he will feed them. . . And I Jehovah will be their God and my servant David will be a prince among them.” At that time, God will “search for [his] sheep and deliver them out of all the places where they were scattered in a cloudy and dark day.” He “will bring them out from among the nations and gather them from the countries and bring them into their own land.” (Ezekiel 34:12–13, 16, 23–24; emphasis added.)” – P. 234 “In that day, God will reunite the two houses of Israel: “I will take the people of Israel from among the nations, where they have gone, and I will gather them from every direction and bring them into their own land.” – P. 234 “These events take place in a time of tyranny when formidable forces, too great for God’s people, are tightening their grip: “Can the warrior’s spoil be taken from him, or the tyrant’s captives escape free? Yet, thus says Jehovah: ‘The warrior’s spoil will indeed be taken from him and the tyrant’s captives escape free. I will contend with your contenders and I will deliver your children.’” (Isaiah 49:25.) Through word links in his writings, Isaiah identifies the “warrior” and “tyrant” who “spoils” God’s people as the king of Assyria/Babylon, whose “captives” the servant now releases. Many of these captives are God’s people of the Ten Lost Tribes, who come out of modern “Assyria” in the new exodus.” – P. 239 “Just as God sustains his servant—at his passing tests of loyalty—so God sustains his people on their return from exile: “I will strengthen you . . . and uphold you with my righteous right hand.” “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name and you are mine. When you cross the waters, I will be with you; [when you traverse] the rivers, you will not be overwhelmed. Though you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” (Isaiah 41:10; 43:1–2; emphasis added.)” – P. 241 “At their return, God protects his covenant people—Zion/Jerusalem—for the sake of his sons/servants, and he protects his sons/servants for the sake of seraphs/saviors. That follows the type of God’s protecting Lot for Abraham’s sake and Lot’s daughters for Lot’s sake when they flee Sodom. God’s “redeeming” and “naming” his people means they have reached the Zion/Jerusalem level. By Isaiah’s definition, “redemption” involves God’s forgiveness of their sins, while “calling [them] by name” confirms their new covenant status. After centuries of suffering the curses of the covenant, God’s people qualify, by repenting of transgression, for the salvation that flows down the ladder from Israel’s God.” – P. 241 “People whom the servant “did not know,” who “did not know” him, represent the Jacob/Israel category. The servant and his associates begin their ministry among these to bring as many as they can to the Zion/Jerusalem level, and from there to the son/servant level. Because to “know” implies a covenant relationship, to “not know” means no valid such relationship exists at first. As mediator of God’s covenant, the servant brings people of all nations into a covenant relationship with God and gathers them from dispersion at the end of the world. They “hasten” to the servant, recognizing him as an agent of God’s salvation and seeing the urgency of their situation on the eve of Babylon’s desolation. The new exodus will resemble the divinely escorted exodus out of Egypt: “Go forth out of Babylon, flee from Chaldea! Make this announcement with resounding voice; broadcast it to the end of the earth. Say, ‘Jehovah has redeemed his [collective] servant Jacob.’ They thirsted not when he led them through arid places: he caused water to flow for them from the rock; he cleaved the rock and the water gushed out.” “Turn away, depart; touch nothing defiled as you leave there. Come out of her and be pure, you who bear Jehovah’s vessels. But you will not leave in haste or go in flight: Jehovah will go before you, the God of Israel behind you.” (Isaiah 48:20– 21; 52:11–12; emphasis added.)” – P. 241, 242 “[this] group reaches the Zion/Jerusalem level in direct response to the servant’s performing his mission to Jacob/Israel, God’s people dispersed throughout the world. Assisted by other servants of God, he convinces many to establish a covenant relationship with God and to faithfully fulfill its terms. [this] group participates in an exodus out of all countries on the eve of a Sodom-and-Gomorrah type of destruction. Those on the level of seraphs gather them home to Zion or Jerusalem.” – P. 128 Third Gathering: The Day of Yehovah (Physical) Dr. Gileadi sees a third gathering during Yehovah’s three-year Day of Judgment of the wicked who join those already gathered. “... the “day of vengeance of our God,” which judgment is the prelude to the Millennium.” – P. 232 “He adds, “Though I make a complete end of all nations among whom I have scattered you, yet I will not make a complete end of you.” Instead, “I will save you from afar and your descendants from the land of their captivity.” These events occur “in the last days.” (Jeremiah 30:3, 7–11, 24; emphasis added.)” – P. 233 “[this group] spiritual ascent to Zion/Jerusalem occurs during God’s Day of Judgment… This group didn’t respond to the servant … but reaches the same point through the school of hard knocks. [this group] didn’t heed God’s warning and wake up in time to avoid the calamities. Its spiritual ascent to Zion/Jerusalem during God’s Day of Judgment nonetheless qualifies it for the physical ascent that follows (see Figure 54).” – P. 128 Restored to Promised Lands “According to Jeremiah, “The days are coming, says Jehovah, that I will bring my people Judah and Israel back from exile . . . and restore them to the land I gave their fathers, and they will inherit it.” – P. 233 “And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will be king to them all. And they will never again be two nations nor will they be divided into two kingdoms any more.” He adds, “My servant David will be king over them and they will all have one shepherd. . . And they will live in the land I gave my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived . . . they and their children and their children’s children for ever.” (Ezekiel 37:21–22, 24–25; emphasis added.)” – P. 234 “Then, suddenly, the Lord whom you seek will come to his temple. As for the messenger of the covenant whom you desire, he is coming.” (Malachi 3:1; emphasis added.) The temple must be built in the place Zion or Jerusalem so that when Jehovah comes to the earth he may govern his people from there. Zechariah’s and Malachi’s scenarios are much like Isaiah’s;” – P. 235 The Millennium: The Earth Becomes a Heaven We began the review of chapter 7 showing that God's Seraphim/Angels do the the Father's Work and Will by connecting earth with heaven or eternity. In a real sense, this concept becomes a reality when these Seraphim/Angels prepare God's people to receive Him during His millennial reign, which is a semblance of the Son's eternal realm. “In the end, however, both sons/servants and seraphs/saviors assume political office over those to whom they minister. They serve as “judges” and “rulers” of God’s people in the Millennium. (Isaiah 1:26; 32:1.)” – P. 230 “When Jehovah comes to reign on the earth, he will not rule as a dictator whose every word his subjects jump to obey. He will reign partly through righteous servants who have given their all in God’s cause. Their experience and understanding qualify them in matters of judgment and wisdom to implement and administer a theocratic form of government. Because God allows everyone to grow, he manages the affairs of his kingdom in a way that encourages everyone’s ascent. That includes delegating his authority to servants who are capable of governing those who haven’t come as far as themselves, who are able to minister spiritually and politically after the pattern of Jehovah himself (see Figure 103). Figure 103 Delegation of Authority in the Millennial Government God God’s Servants God’s Covenant People Anticipating that time, Israel’s God “will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as in the beginning.” - P. 245 “Among those who govern under Jehovah in the Millennium is his servant.’” – P. 247 Covenant Blessings “As God reverses his people’s circumstances, at the beginning of the Millennium, seraphs/saviors assist in causing a marvelous transformation of human life. Those on upper levels can now minister unopposed to improve the lot of God’s people. At that time, God not merely reverses longstanding covenant curses, turning them into blessings, but those blessings far exceed the former ones: “Though you had been forsaken and abhorred, with none passing through [your land], yet I will make you an everlasting pride, the joy of generation after generation. You will suck the milk of the nations, suckling at the breasts of kings. Then will you know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior.” (Isaiah 60:15–16.)” – P. 248 249 “There will be miracles of healing, of God’s covenant people and the Promised Land, as seraphs/saviors bring God’s people home (see Figure 106).” – P. 249 Figure 106 A Reversal of Covenant Curses The Blind See The Deaf Hear The Lame Walk The Dumb Speak The Land Regenerates The Righteous Are Empowered God’s Land and People Are Protected - P. 250 “God endows his covenant people with his holy Spirit and establishes them in lands of inheritance: “Then will a Spirit from on high be poured out on us; the desert will become productive land and lands now productive be reckoned as forest. . . And the effect of justice will be peace, and the result of righteousness an assured calm forever. My people will dwell in peaceful settlements, in safe neighborhoods, in comfortable dwellings. . . Blessed are you, who will then sow by all waters, letting oxen and asses range free.” (Isaiah 32:15, 17–18, 20; emphasis added.)” – P. 250 251 “God transforms his people’s home:” – P. 251 “Men and beasts will live in harmony (see Figure 107):” – P. 252 Figure 107 Features of the New Paradise God’s Spirit Is Poured Out The Land Produces Abundance Peace Is Restored to Humanity Ancient Habitations Are Rebuilt Dwelling Places Are Beautified Men and Beasts Live in Harmony The Knowledge of God Fills the Earth - P. 252 “The work of God’s servant and his seraph-associates thus comes to fruition at the dawning of the Millennium. As God’s people repent of sins and grow in righteousness, they experience “salvation.” The coming to the earth of Jehovah, who personifies “salvation,” will be a literal fulfillment of his people’s expectations. All salvation will then be seen to flow directly from Israel’s God. All will recognize him as the origin of every blessing, as the source of all good. Even proxy saviors on the highest levels can only qualify themselves and others for salvation. The power to save, and beyond that to exalt, comes from Jehovah. He, therefore, is the “gate of heaven” through whom all must pass who would enter.” – P. 253 Table Summary
