This week we begin our review of chapter 8 in Isaiah Decoded – The God of Israel, King of Zion. Ascending beyond the level of Seraphim/Angels is God’s Son – Yehovah-Yeshua - who reaches the status of a god. When we look at the biblical narrative, we see two versions of the creation in the first and second chapters of Genesis. We can make the case that chapter one is a spirit creation where the “head of the gods” - the Father - administers a spirit creation – a singular verb and a plural noun at 1:1, and chapter two is a physical creation administered by Yehovah, His Son – 2:4. Beyond Genesis chapter two, it is the Son who finishes administering the Father’s plan to exalt humanity through to the end of the Bible. Having successfully executed the Father’s Plan, Yehovah-Yeshua ascends to be like His father. Introduction We saw in the introduction that the Father, the head god or most high god, administered a spirit creation and that His Son administered a physical creation. Moreover, after Genesis two Yehovah administers the Father’s Plan through to Revelations. "In the beginning was the Word [the Son], and the Word was with God [the Father], and the Word was God. The same [the Son] was in the beginning with God [the Father]. All things [physical] were made by him [the Son]; and without him [the Son] was not any thing [physical] made that was made." - John 1:1-3
The Son Ascends to Become a Most High God One of the misunderstandings that we see in the Bible is the concept that Yehovah in the Old Testament is not Yeshua in the New Testament. Many believers fail to see the bigger picture of Yehovah’s ascent to become like His Father – a most high god – by administering the Father’s plan to raise humanity to higher realities. But for Yehovah to administer the Father’s plan fully, it required Yehovah to descend into mortality as Yeshua and die for the sins of our world.
Dr. Gileadi – “Jesus’ reference to his “Father” thus conforms with Isaiah’s ladder to heaven, which links all spiritual levels in a hierarchy of father–son relationships. It also agrees with the plurality of the name “God/Gods” (‘elohîm), and with the title El Elyon—the “Most High God”—whose “Son” Jesus is (see Figure 120). (Psalm 82:6; Mark 5:7.) [Yehovah’s] earthly ministry was his descent phase as a proxy savior [as Yeshua/Jesus], while his ascension to his Father in heaven and his coming in glory to reign on the earth are his ascent phase. Because God is a plurality, not only male and female, but also Father and Son, [Yehovah-Yeshua] ascent implies heirship, the same as on lower levels, in which the son ultimately assumes the function of his father.” – P. 287 “Jesus himself, after a most painful and humiliating death at the hands of his accusers, inherited the glory of his Father.” – P. 305 “The king of Babylon’s aspiration in the Servant–Tyrant Parallelism to “ascend in the heavens and set my throne above the stars of God”—to become “like the Most High [God]”— was thus fulfilled in the Son of the Most High God, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 14:13–14.)” – P. 305 The Son Becomes a New Creation of the Father When we look at the transformation process of the Son becoming like the Father, three primary aspects immerge – the Son obtains the status of a god; He administers the Father’s plan to exalt humanity, and the Son becomes an Eternal Father.
The Son Becomes a God In chapter 7, Dr. Gileadi states that Seraphim/Angels reach the stature of gods - but are not called god. “Those who ascend to this third level of blessedness compare in stature to gods.” – P. 222. But to obtain the status of god, the Son must not only be a king and priest to all of humanity but must be the Father’s firstborn son. Dr. Gileadi - "When Jesus calls himself the “Son of Man,” while at the same time referring to his “Father” in heaven, the Most High God, he discounts the idea that he was born by a different process than the normal, except that his God was also his Father. Thus, John calls Jesus the “only begotten of the Father”—that is, in the flesh, on the earth. (John 1:14.) His mother Mary being “with child of the Holy Ghost” doesn’t mean that the Holy Ghost was his father, but that she conceived by “the power of the Most High God” while under the influence of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 1:18, 20; Luke 1:35.) Lastly, just as the Most High God had literal “seed” or “offspring,” so did Jesus himself. (Isaiah 53:10.)" - P. 288 “While a father’s duty was to provide for and ensure the protection of his family, the firstborn son—his heir—took on this duty when his father was unable (see Figure 124).” – P. 295 Figure 124 The Place of Firstborn within the Family Father Firstborn Family - P. 296 “As the Son and Firstborn of his Father, [Yehovah-Yeshua] was slain so that death might pass from all who accepted him as their Father/Savior.” – P. 297 “Jehovah’s role as the Firstborn Son of the Most High God implied that above all he was his Father’s heir.” – P. 298 Yehovah-Yeshua as the Father’s Firstborn Thus, we see that to be god, the Son of the Father, the Most High God, the Son must be the Father’s firstborn who stands in the Father’s place to act in the Fathers authority. Here is how the Apostle Paul stated that Yehovah-Yeshua is the Father’s firstborn son. “And He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.” - Colossians 1:15-21
Administers the Father’s Plan to Exalt Humanity Our second stage of the Son becoming a new creation of the Father is to administer the Father’s plan to exalt humanity. When Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit God declared that they had become like Them because they knew good and evil. But this action had inherent consequences. The most of which resulted in Adam and Eve, and their posterity descending into sin and death. But that the Father’s Son would redeem them from death and that them and their posterity would have the opportunity to overcome sin and achieve a higher spiritual and physical existence more like God – by ascending the ladder to heaven. This plan first required that the Father’s Son would help man to overcome sin through His Law and Atonement. This plan required that the Father’s Son would become a king and priest to mankind. Dr. Gileadi – “[Yehovah-Yeshua] was a Davidic king by virtue of his lineage and because all on or above the son/servant level are kings and priests to those to whom they minister.” – P. 297 “While the resurrection of God’s people could begin with Jesus’[Yeshua’s] atonement for transgression, death could now also be abolished. Just as death came into the world with Adam’s and Eve’s transgression in the Garden of Eden, so the Atonement removed the consequences of transgression for all who ascend to Zion/Jerusalem and above.” – P. 311 “Because God’s law is eternal, it applies equally in this life and in the next, except that mortality is the best medium for ascent—for us to repent and return.” – P. 311
Becomes an Eternal Father Our last stage for the Son, Yehovah-Yeshua, to become like the Father, is that he must connect humanity with heaven and eternity by abolishing death, violence, and want. "For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:22 Dr. Gileadi – “As the Son and Firstborn of his Father, [Yehovah-Yeshua] was slain so that death might pass from all who accepted him as their Father/Savior.” – P. 297 “Because humanity had already inherited death as a result of Adam’s and Eve’s transgression, the only way the Most High God could now deliver his Son’s people from death was to resurrect them also. Jesus Christ, as Father/Savior of the human family, ensured, through the sacrifice of his life and subsequent resurrection, that all would rise again to new life. But they would do so under the terms of God’s covenant, according to God’s law of justice and mercy, each on the level he had reached—whether higher or lower—so long as they accepted Jehovah as their Father/Savior. Thus, even former sinners could say, “You, O Jehovah, are our Father; our Redeemer from Eternity is your name.” (Isaiah 63:16.)” – P. 300 The Son’s Millennial Heaven “Thus, God’s covenant paved the way for his people to banish death itself: by doing away with transgression, they could avert covenant curses, and by the averting of curses, death could disappear. God’s people could achieve immortality while living on the earth. The “translated” state Enoch, Elijah, and John attained could become the common lot of humanity.” – P. 311 “Jehovah’s coming—the Second Coming of Jesus Christ—will be a composite of every former coming of Israel’s God, whether to individuals or to his people as a whole. He will descend on Mount Zion and manifest his power, as on Mount Sinai, but he will personally converse with his elect, as he did with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with Moses and Elijah, with Isaiah and others. Those who experience these divine encounters will know God’s love for people everywhere. As his grace diffuses through the earth—down the ladder to the least creature—it will inspire many to serve him. Jehovah’s peaceable rule and his glorious presence will transform the earth into the wondrous Paradise foretold of old.” – P. 319
